Equipment identity terms
Generator-set manufacturer or packager identifies the supplier of the complete assembled set; engine manufacturer identifies the engine separately. A model describes a product designation, while the serial identifies the specific item within its manufacturer’s system. A site asset tag is an internal reference and should be mapped to the equipment’s actual identifiers.
Rating and history terms
kW and kVA are different rating units and should remain labeled as published. Standby and prime are rating categories whose applicable definitions belong with the manufacturer’s documentation. Displayed hours describe the reading shown; verified lifetime hours require supporting history, especially if a meter or controller changed.
Evidence and condition terms
A service record documents the work or observations stated in that record. A test report describes a particular assessment under its recorded conditions. Neither should be expanded into a blanket guarantee. Unknown means the fact is not established in the package; not running describes a different claim and needs factual context.
Offer and collection terms
A preliminary offer still needs the stated review or conditions resolved. An expiration identifies the proposal’s validity period as specified by the buyer. Included scope names the equipment and services covered. Seller proceeds should state which seller-paid costs have been deducted. Ready for pickup should describe an actually confirmed preparation and access state, not merely a desire to sell.
