FOR BUYERS

How generator bidding will work

Understand the intended path from equipment information to a clearly documented offer.

01

Review the equipment package

The planned process starts with seller specifications, photos, records, approximate location, and pickup requirements. Confirm the complete generator identity, included accessories, operating evidence, and any missing information. A listing is seller-supplied information, not an independent inspection.

02

State the complete offer

A useful bid identifies the equipment, price, currency, expiration date, inspection conditions, exclusions, and who pays for disconnection, rigging, loading, and freight. Separate the equipment offer from services or deductions so the seller can compare terms.

03

Resolve conditions before commitments

A proposed offer may depend on an inspection or additional documents. Any revision should explain what changed and how it affects price or scope. Pickup timing and responsibilities need agreement alongside price; an attractive number alone is not a complete deal.

04

From a bid to a transaction

Approved buyers submit bids through their portal. SellMyGen reviews anonymous offer terms before sellers see the amount, terms and buyer rating. Seller acceptance reserves one offer. The winning buyer must confirm and pay the separate 5% fee; contact information stays locked until payment is verified. Only the accepted seller and buyer receive each other’s contacts. Inspection conditions remain in effect. Equipment payment goes directly to the seller. Fee checkout is pending setup.
