Ask the site owner what must remain
Have the responsible property team describe the intended final condition of the equipment area and access route. Record which work belongs to the sale and which belongs to a separate project. Avoid assuming that the buyer’s collection service includes every task needed for the owner’s next use of the space.
Document the starting condition
Use approved photos and a dated description of relevant areas before work begins. Identify existing damage and known limitations without making technical judgments. Keep the record available to the parties responsible for the work so later questions do not depend entirely on memory.
Write a bounded responsibility list
List agreed cleanup, retained items and restoration deliverables using the responsible providers’ scope descriptions. Identify the party arranging each item, who reviews completion and any exclusions. Leave specialist design or remediation questions with the qualified professionals responsible for them.
Close restoration separately from pickup
After equipment collection, review the agreed deliverables with the appropriate site representative. Record outstanding items and the responsible contact rather than treating truck departure as automatic completion of all work. Keep any commercial adjustment subject to the actual transaction arrangements, not an improvised deduction.
