Decide what is actually moving
Create a list of equipment the business is taking, retaining for later decisions or offering for sale. Confirm the generator’s status with the responsible decision maker. Keep accessories on the same list so an enclosure key, spare controller or service binder does not leave with the moving crew while still promised to a buyer.
Preserve a local source of information
Name a site contact who will remain available after the main move. Give that person the current equipment package and a clear list of questions they can answer. Transfer records to an authorized shared location and retain the original source documents rather than relying on an employee’s personal inbox.
Describe the changing access window
Record when loading areas, keys, escorts or occupancy arrangements will change. Identify the final date for each type of access separately from the move-out date. Tell bidders which facts are confirmed and which still depend on the relocation schedule.
Close the loop after the move
Before collection, confirm that the generator and included items are still where the buyer expects them and that the designated contact can provide access. Update the pickup sheet if staff roles changed. Keep the remaining sale responsibilities assigned until the equipment and agreed site work are complete.
